Fifteen years ago today, Microsoft released the original Xbox, a console whose legacy lives on today in the form of the Xbox One and Xbox Live. Microsoft’s first games machine – originally codenamed the DirectXbox – was practically a PC. But by virtue of its PC-like built-in 8GB hard drive and Ethernet adapter, along with its infamous not-so-PC-like first controller (the Duke!), it left its mark with a memorable game library during its all-too-brief four-year run. And while it saw many great games grace its DVD tray, these are our favorite 15 exclusives* to have ever hit the original Xbox.
(*Some of these games came to other platforms much later, but were for all intents and purposes Xbox-exclusive at the time. Feel free to argue about it in the comments below.)
