Respawn Entertainment opted to make Titanfall 1 a multiplayer-only experience, and despite disappointment from some fans over the game's lack of a single-player campaign, studio co-founder Vince Zampella believes it was ultimately the right move.
When asked during the latest episode of IGN Unfiltered whether or not he regrets not including a single-player campaign in the original Titanfall, Zampella responded with a confident "no."
With regard to why he believes the lack of a campaign in Titanfall 1 was the right choice, Zampella said the team was still developing a solid understanding of Titanfall's mechanics when crafting the first game's multiplayer, and it wasn't until after the game's launch that Respawn was capable of making a truly great single-player experience.
